No more hot tea in vending machines. This was ordered by the health company in Trento, which banned all sugary drinks, replacing them with other products. A healthy twist that public opinion does not like.

Consumers have sent complaints about this decision, especially about the disappearance of the hot tea that visitors like so much, but which also serves patients.

Some time ago there was already a five-month trial in two facilities of the Health Service Center, with the elimination of sugary drinks. We had avoided the delivery of 1,213 cans, equal to 400 liters, an amount that a small supermarket sells in a few hours, 43 kilos of sugar and 168,607 calories.

This is the note of the Trentino Apss after the decision taken: “The new vending machines represent an important step to promote the health of the staff and citizens who attend health facilities for various reasons, in line with the Apss mandate for the structure of the Provincial health service intended for the promotion, maintenance and recovery of the physical and mental health of the population “.

Instead of sugary drinks, in the vending machines, organic local snacks with the ‘right’ caloric intake are offered. Water bottle dispensers were joined by tap water dispensers.
