With the new circular from the Ministry of the Interior, there is a green light at the takeaway for bars without a kitchen, in the yellow area, even after 6 pm.

The Decree of the 2nd March 2021 had put a time limit to those activities with Ateco code 56.3, meaning bars, pubs, cafés, wine bars without a kitchen. 

The service is therefore allowed from 5 to 22, having only to respect the curfew still in force. The 6 pm limit for take away sales remains the same as for the places located in the orange and red zone.

In the yellow zone, there is always the prohibition – the circular reminds – for customers to consume on the spot or in the vicinity of the restaurant at any time what they purchased with take-away, And it confirms the ban on consuming food and drinks in public places or open to the public after 6 pm.

However, the Government is at work and we are gradually moving towards a practically total reopening of activities. Bars can only breathe after a really difficult year due to covid-19 and anti-contagion regulations. A year that has also forced many businesses to close the shutters forever and, for everyone else, to try to survive, perhaps using their life savings. Summer could mark a recovery in consumption, spring is already doing it.
